October Shipment to Korea

Equine International Airfreight recently completed the first ever charter out of Brisbane Airport to Incheon, South Korea.  The group of horses were largely two year olds purchased from the recent Magic Millions Ready to Run sale, however among the numbers was a mare and foal, a dry mare, yearlings from the Patinack dispersal sale and a miniature pony named ‘Sugar’.

All horses departed within 3 weeks of the sale, demonstrating our efficiency at coordinating large numbers of horses within a short time frame.  52 horses loaded with ease at Brisbane airport and the Qantas Freight duty manager was most impressed by our care and calmness around the horses and that he had never seen such a well organised and efficient load process.  It was obvious to him that the comfort and care of each horse was the main priority.  We couldn’t have completed this task without experienced and competent ground staff & equine flight attendants, shipping coordinators, truck drivers and of course the Quarantine farm and their staff for taking excellent care of each horse while they were in pre-export quarantine.

All horses landed safely in Korea and we hope they go on to have successful racing or breeding careers in their new home.
